TIPS FOR COUPLES ON TOGETHERNESS

TIPS FOR COUPLES ON TOGETHERNESS

There is an operation of togetherness that makes a couple to function in strength. Couples must learn to do the following together:

1. Sleep together - Irrespective of the number of rooms in your house, have a room that you and your spouse sleep together.
Do family planning, it is not a sin!

2. Talk together
Do not let your spouse be intimidated or afraid to talk out. Do not let your spouse feel stupid when he/she wants to talk to you. Let your spouse be free to express his/her mind in to you.
Do not get angry, learn to take unfavorable comments. Also learn how to use nice words to pass across unfavorable opinions. Make life comfortable for the other person.
If you have nothing to say, remember the good old days e.g. when you proposed, what the spouse was doing that day.
Always engage in anointed conversations: TALK INTO SOLUTIONS.
Do not keep malice, if you do not feel like talking with your wife, something is wrong; deal with it!

3. Eat Together
Food must be enjoyed, you can always learn how to cook better! Make use of the internet to learn; use google and Youtube
At least one meal a day on a well set table!
When the food is sweet, there will be good communication in the home
When the food is sweet, the bedroom becomes sweeter after dinner.

4. Play together
Don't do short syllable discussions.
Create an emotionally conducive environment in the house

5. Pray together
Pray in the Spirit together: Do not be praying in tongues whilst your wife is not baptized in the Holy Ghost

Whilst doing the above together,
- learn to give gifts and pleasant surprises to each other
- learn to protect each other from poison; use discretion to fence each other from harmful words.

Not All Men Cheat

Regardless of the number of men cheating on their wives today, there are still some men who do not.

There is always an exception to a generally observed phenomenon and the same applies to this.

While an A.C. repairer for my workplace was working, he made the statement "All men cheat".  As soon as he made the statement  something revolted in me and prompted my sharing this.

I will like to say the God's kind of men do not cheat.
They are the exception to the rule.
They are satisfied with the woman they have.  They live by the principles the wisest king gave in Proverbs 5: 19.
It is possible to avoid immorality as a married man with the help of God.
It is understandable that there are good-looking ladies all around and temptations abound.

It is not wrong to be tempted. But it is wrong to fall into the temptation.

I Cor. 10:13 says

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (NLT)

Once you believe that all men cheat, then as a man you would find yourself doing it. However, when you yield to God, he would give you the grace to live above it.
Our generation is waiting for men who are God-fearing, disciplined and  would be a role model for their children.
I recommend this book, Point Man by Peter Farrar. I have read it several times and it was very useful.
I hope you find it useful too.

3 years Today That My Father Passed Away

As I woke up today, the thoughts of my father filled my mind.  I realize it is 3 years already that he left the family for his heavenly home.
 Whao! How time flies.
He transitioned from time to eternity.
From mortality to immortality.
I can remember vividly the advise he used to give me about life, serving God, finances, and character.
Towards the end of his life we became closer and I wish he lived longer. Alas he was gone before I knew it.
Few minutes to the time he breathed his last I was beside him on the hospital bed.  I wished it didnt happen.  The thoughts were strong and it was the fact that my father was leaving his wife and kids behind.  It was something he could have prevented if he had the power.
However, painful it was for us his loved ones that he left behind but glorious it is for him in heaven. A place of continual joy and worshiping God.
I love him but God loves him more.
He left a good legacy for me.  He was passionate about excellence and also a truthful man.
he loved to play piano, the passion he transferred to me who also plays the piano for My church Family.
I am forever grateful to God for his life.
I hope to go beyond where he never reached in his life time.  Making impact and fulfilling purpose.
That is my resolution.
